FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

🇺🇸 FAQ

1. What is Ko-fi and why is it used?

Ko-fi is a platform that allows content creators to receive voluntary donations from people who wish to support their work.

At Sims Service, all download links are provided without ads or monetized redirects. Ko-fi is used solely as an optional way to support the project for those who wish to contribute.

Donations are completely optional and are not required to access any content on the website.

2. What does “Early Access” mean?

“Early Access” refers to content that is temporarily available in advance to supporters through Ko-fi.

After the early access period ends, the content is released for free to all website visitors.

3. What are the terms of use for the content?

In summary:

  • Reposting or redistributing the content as your own is not permitted

  • Conversions to The Sims 2 or The Sims 3 may be allowed with prior permission and proper credit

  • Editing, recoloring, or modifying the creations is not permitted

The full terms can be found on the Terms of Use page.

4. How do I download the content?

The process is very simple:

  1. Access the link provided in the post of the content you wish to download

  2. You will be redirected to the download page on MediaFire

  3. Download the file normally

5. What is the difference between downloading lots and custom content (CC)?

Custom Content (CC):
.package files should be placed in:
Documentos > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods

Lots:
Files should be extracted into:
Documentos > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray

Recommendation: enable the cheat bb.moveobjects on before placing a lot in your game.

6. Why is there a requirement to request custom content?

Due to the high number of requests received, a request policy was implemented to ensure better organization and reasonable delivery times. This system helps maintain the quality of the content and allows requests to be handled more efficiently.

Full instructions can be found on the Requests page.

7. What programs are used to create the content?

The main tools used are:

  • Blender

  • The Sims 4 Studio

  • Photoshop

8. Compatibility with The Sims 4 versions and expansions

Some content available on Sims Service uses specific The Sims 4 expansion packs, game packs, or stuff packs.

When content (such as a lot) is created using certain packs, players must have those same packs installed in order for all items to appear correctly in the game.

If you do not own one or more of the required packs:

  • Missing items may be automatically replaced

  • Or the lot may appear incomplete

Whenever applicable, the packs used are listed in the post so players can check compatibility before downloading.

9. I didn’t find my question. How can I contact you?
